Anyone got any advice about removing the the not so useful cupholder and the blank panel beside it on a MY02 sti/wrx.
I want to fit a phone holder, and I'm probably going to have to fit a right angled bracket first in one of these 2 spaces.
Any advice about how they come out before I starting ripping it apart.
Cheers
Gary

Pop the cup holder into the out position and you will see 2 philips head screws either side of where it closes, take these out and the cup holder will pull right out and you just need to angle it upwards near the end for it to come right out.(Doddle)

The part next to the cup holder is part of the wholevent surround panel i think.
You can buy a phone holder bracket that simply clips into the vent itself. You put the clips in place, then tighten the screws to draw the clips together thus clamping the holder to the vent. I've got one, it's great.
