Hi,

Just wondering where the best place for the control unit to go is? I'm thinking of the ash-tray - i.e. modify the ash tray so the controller will fit nice and snuggly, the ash tray never gets used anyway

I put mine on the side bit mounted vertically by your left leg...
Sorta to the right of the stereo
If you know where I mean good, if not shout and I'll post a picture of it

 

Mines in the glove box - nice and out of sight to the theiving *******...........

 

Will it fit into the manual slot in your glove box?

 

I have mine fitted in the centre of the manual slot in the glovebox and there's a right angled plate at the back which can be removed to let cables etc through. I don't have air con so the cables went straight out into the engine bay via the big grommet that's meant for the air con pipes

thanks guys... glove box sounds a good idea. One thing that has concerned me a bit is security, I mean - they aren't cheap to replace. Do you know of anyone who's had them nicked?

 

How can you check peaks and set the record function when diving when its in the glovebox though? I think the dials themselves are gonna be a scum thief magnet not the control box!

I can pretty much reach the glovebox quite easily to operate it - or just get my passengers involved

 

Also fits in v nicely in the centre arm cubby hole - but you'll lose the "superb" cup holder
