Hi

This weekend I swapped over the interior of my MY94 5 door for the newer style (small blue flecks) one. The front and rear seats were a doddle and now I've just got to do the door panels.

Just one question as I don't want to break anything! The door handle thing has a plastic clip in the centre that looks like its concealing a screw (backup up by the earlier post on this thread) but how do you get it off??? I tried prising it off but it doesn't want to budge :-(

TIA

Richard

If you're talking about the plastic part that surrounds the actual lever that opens the doors then yes it just pulls off. It clips in on the left and right hand sides.

Mo - I don't think he means that bit.

Thinking about it though I think the bit you are talking about holds the door handle to the door which I think you don't need to remove it. As the panel slips over the top? All this is assumption from looking at the door panel but not removing it.

Thats correct. The actual lever is fixed to the door and does not require removal.

Hi Mo

Sorry I should have been more specific about the bit I mean! There is the actual handle which moves but I don't mean that bit. The bit I'm talking about is what you use to pull the door shut that is just like a small tub. Inside this at the bottom in the centre is a round plastic cover type thing that looks like its hiding a screw, this is the bit I can't get off.

Any help appreciated before I take the brute force approach at the weekend ;-)

Cheers

Richard
