prosprot stepper guages

Arrow prosprot stepper guages

as above i brought some gauges and fitted them today, i brought 3 boost,oil temp,oil presure wired them up, i cant seem to get oil temp gauge to work,it lights up and does the open and closing. but stay showing 50 i have checked the wires but still nothing could it be a faulty sender?? and has anybody elese had this problem??

i had the problem with my oil pressure and it was one of the screws that was causing the problem if i remember

Hi mate,

I just fitted the exact same gauges at the weekend. Had a similar problem with the oil temp gauge ( though mine stayed at zero ). I eventually traced this to a bad earth on the sender. You've probably already tried this but thought I would let you know anyway.

Make sure you'v really pushed & clicked the plug into the socket in the back of the gauge. Similar thing happened to me & wasted 1 hr, finally realised that they do have to really be clicked into place & checked carefully. They also have a tendency to pop put when trying to fit pods back finally!
