Changing Classic WRX Heater Contol Lights
Ive been sorting out a few bulbs on me Scoob (95 Jdm WRX).
The only one I couldn't find any real information was the heater contol bulbs, all searches came back with lots of questions, but no answers.
This really does only take about 20 mins start to finish and is very easy.
Tools
Cross head screwdriver
Thin flat blade screwdriver
Scissors
Bulb is a 'wired bulb' and cost 45p from JPG's but I reckon Maplins do them.
Heater contols
Undo Cross Head Screws here
and here
Pull the 3 ***** off ....oewer misses.... then pull the plastic surround off.
you are then left with this
Above each control **** is a bulb in a holder.
Using a flat blade screwdriver, turn half a turn anticlockwise.
Then using a pen inside the recess where the **** fits, push the bulb/holder out, being carefull not to let it fall down the back of the dash.
Once out the bulb/holder looks like this.
The blue bit is a small rubber sleeve that can be rolled off like this.
Undo the bulb wires from the holder and pull the bulb out of the holder.
Get your new bulb.
Thread the wires into the holder.
Wrap them round the holder as it was.
Trim the wires with scissors.
Refit the blue rubber.
Refit to car.
