Angry PLEASE HELP...Defi Gauge not working!!

Hey guys...I have a 53 WRX STI and have 3 defi gauges fitted, I have just noticed today that the oil temp gauge has started flickering as im driving...as in the needle is jus bouncing up and down at its own accord and is not working how it was before...

Any ideas on why this may have happened?!

Sounds like a short to earth, check wiring connections and wires especially where they could touch bodywork or engine, it's possible the insulation has worn away and a wire is touching metal somewhere

Wink

Also check the "daisy-chain" plug behind the gauge, and behind the control box. The pins do work loose

If both the above fail to remedy it, hold the bare end of a piece of wire to the o/t sender body, and the other end to battery earth, and see if that solves it.

Failing BOTH those, it's time to ring whoever sold 'em you
