Is it worth getting a Oil Pressure Gauge??

Im in the process of getting a boost gauge and ive been offered a pod with both Oil & Boost readings that goes on the pillar.
Thing is do i really need 1 as i havent really got any mods apart from zorst & filter, just thought i may need 1 if heavily modded.
If i do puchase this are they awkward to install.
What is the oil pressure really used for apart from the obvious.
Your thoughts are appreciated
