Momo gear knob fitting
#1
Anyone got a tip for holding the gaiter to the bottom of a Momo gear **** (chrimbo prezzy!)?
I saw on Chiark's site about gluing it but don't fancy doing that, and search isn't working, so.....
<sorry didn't spot demondave's post below>
Cheers

Wrap insulating tape around the gearlever shaft (black if possible) - and just the width of the tape wide - until it is the correct thickness for the gaiter to just pull up over and stay there. There needs to be about a 3mm gap between the bottom of the gearlever **** and the top of the tape.
It sounds a bodge, but isn't - it works neatly - done it on four Imprezas so far.....

They sell a machined piece of alloy which I superglued to the bottom on my Momo gear **** which you then slide the gaiter over which holds it in place.
