Default Rubberised Dash Panels

I've got the Centre console parts from a Forester Sti in my Foz. They are the same finish as those on the Spec C ie black, soft touch rubberised sort of affair. Does anyone know how I might be able to get the same finish to be applied to a zerosports top guage pod ? Maybe some kind of spray or dipping process ? I'd rather send it somewhere to have it done rather than diy..

Any help much appreciated !

Cheers
Pete

Pete,

Any pics of the interior? I didn't realise the Forester Sti used the same black finish - I'm now curious to see if there is a Forester pocket available in this finish.

Cheers.

Hi,

Was thinking on getting the S204 parts for my WRX, what is the finish like? and how easy are they to fit? I've removed most of the bits before to fit a different stereo but was wondering about the heater vents etc.

Thanks
Andy

They are a black, soft touch, kind of rubberised affair.Very matt finish, can pick up greasy fingerprints easily and will wear off if you're not careful - I've seen it wear around the vents if you clip anything on etc..
Easy swap though, take out old, clip in new, vents are integral..

I currently have a black legacy pocket making up the spare DIN (Nakamichi head unit in the other), but while the colour is the same, it is a semi-gloss finish. Looks good in the dark, but the reflections give it away when it is in any lght.

Just ordered the full (12piece) kit from Japanparts. i've got a plain black open pocket in the second DIN slot so should look ok.
