Default Will These Fit?

Will the gauge cluster (speedo, rev counter) from a RB5 be compatible with a 95 type RA? Looking for some clocks with a higher top speed and lower rev counter for my future engine

Hmm not sure, I noticed it had a digital milometer. What clocks can I fit from other models without having to change the wires or sensors?

What is the top speed limit on you current speedo?

Is it 112mph or 120mph??

Lets say yours has 112mph, then you will need to check along the speedo cable near the gearbox end & look if there is a small convertor box type thingy plugged inbetween the cable. I doubt there will be but double check.

If it hasn't got one then you could fit a pre96 import clock with a top speed limit of 180kph, get a mph sticker & place it over the kph (remove the outer speedo clear casing). Then you will need a convertor box which if fitted inbetween the 2 speedo cables.

Plug in & play.

Aye my car is still limited, speedo only reads to 120mph roughy and the mile counter is still in kilometers! thought 85 miles to a quarter tank was too good to be true lol!

Sounds like your speedo card has been changed so that it reads in mph, The scaling is different between the numbers etc.
Hence why the odometer is still recording in kph.

I am not sure about prices new for the convertor but the last time I check they were about £40-£50 from a subaru breaker.

The speedo clocks I am not sure of but just recently saw one go for £30 on here.

Anyone know if I could make these fit my 95 classic without having to splice up and rewire the car?

JDM Classics use a mechanical speedometer; all UK cars have an electronic speedometer so even instruments from an early (black dial) dash car wouldnt be interchangable.

Bummer Would it be possible to change the speedo on the gearbox then to make it compatible or is that just gonna cause even more problems for me?
