Default Leather retrim - what would you have?

I've always wanted leather in my car - and have decided that as my Ibiza seats are a bit ordinary for a Cupra, I'm going to get them retrimmed in leather. If you were going to get a retrim, what would you go for?

At the moment, I could go for a straightforward leather retrim in keeping with the standard seats which are black with red stitching. Does anyone have any other ideas? Car is yellow, BTW...

Cheers for that - I'm only 45 mins away from York, so I think I'll pop down for a chat...

Here's a pic of the retrim i had done in my ibiza cupra, apparantly the interior is now in a black polo, as the car got written off by a transit van about 4 years ago.

Have you considered Black and Yellow leather like the Colour Concept Golfs?

GO for something subtle, the interior of a car is something that could cost you a sale at some point in the future, so don't make it too personal........

In my experience Leather is an overated covering for seat. I had a Jag before my Scooby, and a Scorpio before that - both had full leather trim.

In the summer, especially in the scorpio with the black leather, it was like sitting on the sun, in the Jag, with its magnolia leather, it was merely like sitting on a recently lit BBQ. In both cases, it was far too hot to actually put your back onto the seat when you first got into the car. Once your blistered back got used to the feeling of being roasted, you could sit back and relax. Until of course you realise that your back had turned into a big sweat creating device, and if you were wearing a shirt, it looked like someone had splashed a bucked of water over you.

In the winter they are lovely, especially with heated seat - But in the summer, man, they are torture

This is true, i found it too hot in the summer and cold in the winter (no heated seats) wouldn't ever pay for a leather re-trim again although it does look good, i'd probably go for half leather half alcantara next time.

A few people have said this to me - I can't say I ever noticed it in other cars...
