Default Update on new ECU data monitors

Our new data monitors are now fully tested and are now available to order.
Full details including price will be on the site ( www.psi3.co.uk ) shortly.
Here are a few pictures of the Forester pod mount version, they are also available in single DIN, pre '01 pod, post '01 pod and standalone fitement, all except the standalone now include a bulit in shift / warning light and sounder preparation.
Only change between the pictures below of our test unit and production versions will be black screws on front panels and a blue led in place of the amber.
Simon.

Do you need Defi sensors or can you use any? I've got a boost gauge and oil temp gauge in an A pillar pod, but would like to get rid...would the sensors be compatible (never had anything to do with defi stuff!)?

Cheers,

James

Built in shift/warning light as Mark has said, the option is still available to mount a larger shift light more in the drivers line of sight.

Dan.
Very soon the Autronic version will be released.
Next is a VAG group 1.8t engine version.
We have also been asked about a Apexi PowerFC version so that may be another for us to look at.

We have only ever used/developed for Defi sensors, others may work but i cannot be sure.
Oil temp is 2 wire and the oil pressure is 3 wire.

Simon,

it was I who asked you about the power FC option,a nd the more I mention it to people the more interest there seems to be in it. It is by far the most common aftermarket ecu in the tuning circles I have seen, and that is across all models, subaru, evo, skyline etc.

Am happy to offer the services again if you need to set up on a power fc. especially after the pectel one never quite came through. Am happy to hold on again.

One question though, will there be options on the colour of the dot matrix screen, and is there any chance of a larger display area, at the expense of some of the surround, even if it costs a little more money to buy in the first place?

Simon I really want to get this data monitor, but I feel skeptical of purchasing one right away, because it seems like there are going to be better ones with better features... Could you just clarify if I should wait a month or two to purchase one so I know all the bugs will be out, or can I feel 110% comfortable to purchase one right where they are realeased??

Thanks you,
Omar

Adam, please can you call me on Monday.

Darren, sorry my daughters birthday party today so a bit tied up.

Omar, the units we ship to TiC / sell direct will not change physically for the forseeable future now that we are happy with the prototype units.
All units are software upgradeable to take advantage of any new devlopements, again we do not foresee any changes to the software at present.

No Simon, there is very little room in an S2000 - single din. Would have to be a pod mount version really...

Simon,

I had a look at the power FC options in terms of displays.

There are displays that are featured on the handset, but the handset is not a neatly integrated unit, and certainly not din size.

Some research suggests that different power fcs may not communicate in the same language, but this seems at odds with the fact that the same commander can be used with different models of power fc.

Basically if it is the same throughout the range, I am certain it would be worth doing, if only to add the ability to display oil temp and pressure.

ps. how difficult would it be in the future to use a 3D accelerometer and program in the functions of an AP22 meter?

Displaying lateral G would also be nice.
