Question Carpet change

Anyone change the floor carpet?
I know the seats etc will have to come out, but can it be done without removing the complete centre console/dash part.
I got a small rip in mine under the pedals, even though its covered by the mats it could do with a newer carpet.

Afraid you have to remove everything, front seats, rear seat, consol, sill trims etc .....

btw, in case you have not priced a carpet................£200(ish)+vat

That is way over what I expected £200+vat.
Think I will have to seach for a decent used carpet. If I find a cheap/decent black carpet then I just might tackle the job myself. Depends on price?
My car is a 95sti, so could I just remove the lower half of the dash? (Glove box, centre console/radio, ashtray etc) It does look separate from the upper part of the dash when you look at the lines. Because if I have to remove the whole dash then I won't bother at all.
