Nope gauges do not normally buzz.

Is it not vibrating in its mounting ?, try tightening up the clamps.

Had similar mate although it wasn't a buzz as such.

The hose connecting to the rear of the boost gauge was not tightened correctly which resulted in the pressure escaping a little.

Do you hear it when its idling or just when you are on the move. If its the latter probably as Gary C says.

You need to fit some sort of restrictor in the pipe to damp out the changes in presure everytime one of the cylinders takes a lung full of air you need an old jet out of an old carburettor and put it in the pipe close too the engine end had exactly the same problem myself.

As mentioned, you need a restricter in the line. Does the needle vibrate at idle? Put a tie wrap around a flexible part of the line and tighten until the vibration just stops. This problem is common on the flat four engine.
