Default Turning off Defi warning buzzer?

Anyone know how to turn off the warning buzzer on a set of Defi BF range gauges. I have the warning buzzer set on all 3 gauges, but when I try and listen to the radio with just the ign on, the warning buzzer continually sounds for the oil pressure. I am sure some people have found a way through the buttons on the control unit to turn this feature off??

Can't find anything in the manual.

You can record 3 mins of driving and play it back every time you want three mins of silence. Alteratively wire the Defi's so it's off the ignition on +12V supply rather than the accessory feed.

Regards,

Ian

I was told that there is a kind of code/sequence for pressing the buttons which will silence the alarm??

I really should have taken the 12v+ from the switched feed though as you say!

I got round this by giving the stereo a permanent live.

Only takes 10 mins.

Press play and then pause it, the buzzer will stay off

I wish! There is no pause on mine! Isn't that only on the 1st Defi Controller?

Not sure what controller it is but its the one that came with the BF gauges so im guessing its the lastest one. Well its not actually shown as a pause button, its a forward button but it acts as a pause button after you have pressed play.

Hope you get me

I'm mad. It works! Why couldn't some one have told me this over a year ago!! It's not in the Defi Manual and my Defi supplier didn't know this.

Cheers,

Ian
