Gauge condensation
#1
I have a Racimex gauge kit which was fitted as a Subaru Netherlands approved option when I bought my car last year.
The gauges look great in the dash but condensation gets inside, particularly during the colder weather. I have spoken to other people with the gauges and they are not suffering with the same problem. The supplying dealer is also confused.
The gauges have been replaced twice so I can be sure that I do not have faulty ones.
I have got around the problem by taking the bulbs out of the oil temperature and pressure gauges but I would like to get it sorted out properly before the winter months.
Interestingly, the boost pressure gauge does not suffer with the problem.
I am considering cutting slots near the front of the gauges to provide some ventilation.
Any thoughts?
