Fronts: should just bolt in the same place (2 bolts at the front, 2 at the back of each seat)

Rear seat: Undo 2 screws from under the bottom part of seat and lift it up (catch/bracket type affair at back will release when seat is raised) 2 bolts at the bottom of the back part of seat (near the seat belt anchor points) and lift upwards, as it hangs onto clips near the shelf area.

Hope this makes sense
Phil.

Question

I've been given a good deal on some seats and was wondering how easy it is to fit them. I've been told it's very easy but having never done this before could anyone give me some pointers. It includes the rears too.

I didn't have any trouble, although i was fitting a leather interior from a UK MY97 to my MY93 WRX jap import.

Might not be straight forward for you then.

Maffa,

Early cars have a 5 bolt fixing to the floor and the later cars only a 4 bolt fixing. You may find it easier to swop the front seat subframes over as the seatbelt buckles are different as well.
IIRC the later subframes do not line up exactly with the captive nuts on the floorpan.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot guys. I knew it couldn't all be plain sailing. You've given me some stuff to think about. I'll check with scoobysport about the bolts, the 4/5 bolt attachment and whether the subframes match.

If the subframes don't match are these simple to swap?

Thanks a lot guys. I picked up the seats today and they were actually from an x reg Dutch import (£285.00 notes for the front and back). I had absolutely no problem with fitting.

Steve was right when he said that my front seats had a five bolt fitting but this didn't matter as the fifth fitting point wasn't needed and we just used the four on the new seats which lined up perfectly. Also there was no problem with the bolts.

Should anyone else wish to do this to an earlier model car its a piece of cake!!!

Maffa

p.s. anyone want my old ones?
