Question

Car - 93 WRX.
Whilst driving today I heard a small click from the heater control area.
Shortly after that the heater, which was set on Auto, went to full blast and maximum heat. Much hotter than ever before.
Turning the AirCon on makes no difference.
If the heat setting is on minimum then no heat comes out. Anything from 20 degrees upwards produces very hot air.

Purely guessing but it might be a relay has gone (clicking) although ive no idea why there would be one there.

Question

Paul,
I haven't een using the car recently so I stuck the battery on charge. The heater worked fine until I left the stereo on, the battery discharged and the heater went screwy again.
This could be a coincidence but I'm going to put a new battery in and see what happens.
Nigel
