Seen quite a few on the floor immediately below the front passenger seat, it may even be mounted to the seat front frame itself - i am not sure

What's the consensus on the best location and method to mount an extinguisher?

I've got 2, one unser the passenger seat at the front and one in between the middle of the front of the back seats, just above the transmission tunnel.

 

Fits in the glove box nicely :-)

I was going to drill pilot holes and use self tapping screwe, however, the extinguishers I bought had an option of coarse velcro on the holders so I tried it straight onto the carpet and it works surprisingly well. They've been in for over a year and I've done track days etc and they are fine.
