Thumbs up

I've got one a Defi along with boost and oil pressure, in a UK '98, which is very similar.

I am having problems with figuring out where the sensor goes for the oil. A few people have had ideas of drilling holes into the sump but if I go over something I don't want there to be a risk of pulling the sensor out.

Wink

"Drilling holes in the sump?"

Don't go there.

AFAIK, there is the same threaded "bung" on top of No3 cylinder, (rear, driver's side), on your car as on mine.

You can see it down on top of the crankcase just under the intercooler, in front of the turbo. It's flat hex-socket headed thing, needs a LONG 8mm T-bar hex key to remove it. Easier to do with the intercooler off.

Most oil temp gauges will fit the threads, although some will need an adaptor, like Defi do........about £8 extra.

Check with your gauge supplier.

PS: I love the name Sarah, never met a nasty one yet:

Wuz,
Subaru say that the part number doesn't exist and that there are 3 numbers missing!
