Default boost gauge

just fitted my gauge
wot should the readings be
when ticking over?
when ignition is off (should it be 0)?
on boost ?
car is a standard uk my94 wagon

On tickover it should be pulling a vacuum.. ie negative boost.
Ignition off should be 0.
On boost it should read 11-12 pounds of boost and tail off as the revs increase.

it dont even hit ten

when the ignition is off the guage reads below zero
its a vacuum/boost gauge
thought it should read 0 when off
could it be giving a false reading coz of that

heres my gauge.



the picture shows the engine off position. when engine is idling the needle points to the green negative area, roughly sits in the centre. and then obviously when on boost goes into the yellow/red area. hope this helps.

Your gauge reads in bar and not psi so should read about 0.9 bar on boost if you have a pretty standard motor.
