Question

Anyone know where the Y piece with the restrictor goes ?

I don't need the Y (as a T), as I've taken an unused feed off the manifold, but does the restrictor go in-line, with me blanking off the spare leg of the Y, or does it go to Air, leaving no spare leg ?

Anyone know ?

Hi Mate
I also have the Avo gauge but I ran the hose from the manifold and did not use the Y piece. All works ok as far as I can tell.

Exclamation

Did you fit the restrictor Y piece ?

I phoned Jamie at JWRacing after mine was buzzing and he said it was because I hadn't used the restrictor. I've emailed him to ask where it goes but he's had to mail AVO to ask them...

Waiting for a reply now......

No mate didn't use y piece but I also spoke to jamie and he said that they do sometimes make a noise . I was going to use the Y piece but like you say no instructions so I didn't know how to use it.

I think that the reading is OK, certainly at peak, as I'm getting 0.9 BAR, which seems OK for my car.

I'm almost tempted to try fitting the Y, with an 'empty' leg blanked off......

I'll wait until tomorrow night I think, in case AVO do come back, as I don't want to cut the hose and find it makes no difference !

Cool

I fitted the part of the Y piece with the restrictor into the pipe (I actually cut the pipe under the dash, cut the leg of the Y off and re-joined the pipe with this leg inside it)

The gauge is now 95% quiet....
