Question

I plan to fit the Noisekiller product to my MY00. I undertand to do this properly I will need to :
'strip the seats and centre console and carpet out'
How easy is this? How long will it take?
Also there is a webpage out there which advises on removing the inside part of the doors - anyone know where that is?

Thanks, Simon.

Front seats - held in by 4 bolts on each corner, then they lift out.

Rear bench - 2 bolts, then push it back and lift it up from the front, to unhook them.

Rear back - 3 bolts, then it just lifts up.

The Scoobymods have very good details on stripping off the door stuff and how to remove them.

centre console:

Open the centre pocket between the front seats.

Pop off the two screw covers.

Undo two phillips screws.

Lift up the panel (lift from back to front) to remove the panel around handbrake.

Undo the plugs for the mirrors.

Unscrew gear ****.

Lift the panel around the gear lever (lifting from back to front)

Simon,

I've got some pics on my website from when I stripped out my car.

Seats are a piece of pi$$, since it's just 4 bolts holding them dowm. Just be careful lifting them out. I threw and old duvet cover over them to protect the doors/trim from the metal runners.

The centre console is pretty easy too, with a half dozen or so screws and everything just lifts out.

As Andy explained the rear seats are just as easy.

The door cards are pretty easy too (I've pics from when I fitted my front speakers).

I reckon you could have the seats, cards and centre trim out in 30-45mins although it may take longer since it'll be your first time.

Stefan

Unclip the door sill trims.

Use a small screwdriver to lift up the square plastic bungs on the trims.

Once all these are out the sill will lift up.

The carpet in the front footwell is held on by kickpanel trim (screw hidden under a platic bung) and then two big platic holders which just unscrew.

I'm sure once the centre console and seats are out, as well as the sill trims, kick panel and some clips are removed, the whole carpet should come out relatively easily!
