OK a few questions about installing pods and gauges....(ive read chiarks guide)..
1. Whereabouts have people tapped into the ignition wiring? (for the lighting)(autometer gauges)
2. How have people fixed the centre pod down? (those that have one)
3. Are people drilling through the original mount to put the wires, if so where?
4. How do you remove the whole pod unit? (ive taken the lid off and undone the screws at the front, but dont want to force it for fear of breaking)

Hi Trick
I knew I should have took some photos
I tapped into the cigarette lighter light wires, for the illumination for the gauges (means only short wires )
I stuck the Pod down with double sided sticky tape, and it seems to work a treat too
I removed the binnacle lid, by gently forcing the heater vent fascia (i removed the vents themselves, so I could grip, and see where to feed the wires)
I didnt drill it either, all tho I know some people have, I used the hole that is already there (i removed the latch for the lid to save drilling)

My wiring is to the Hazard Warning light switch, and lighting off back of cig lighter, (well, it HAS to be SOME use, even in a non-smoker's car: ).
I took the lid off, then gripped the catch and pulled forwards, and it came off surprisingly easily.
And went back even easier too
I did drill a hole at the rear for the single wire for my Defi's, and my Scoobysport pod is such a good fit that it slides into place, and can't be shifted once in, except by sliding it forwards and out again.
In fact, I'm so impressed by it's fit, that it's staying push-fitted, and because there's only one wire behind it, I still have the cubby-hole space!

looks like I'll be using Chiarks guide for the Oil Pressure, once I get the adapter
The boost was straight forward, and so was the AFR, the Oil Temp (I have one spare in Autometer Phantom) will/should be straight forward too
I'll put a pic up later, now its daylight again
Gonna try the red & blue bulbs later too

For the oil temperature, are you using the blanked off tapped hole at the top of cylinder 3?
If so, you'll need to remove intercooler, and have bought the longest 8mm Allen key you can get. Mine was £7 from a tool specialist, and has a T shaped top.....it was VERY hard to undo, in fact before I broke it out of the threads, the Allen key was twisting along it's lenghth
You can get an adaptor for this hole from variuous places, mine came from Scoobymania to fit the Defi probe.

I havent got the oil temp now, but Alcazar is right
Cylinder 3 is standing in front of the car on the drivers side (left, facing the car) nearest the bulkhead, almost next to the turbo
if you look close you can see the blanking plug
http://www.chiark.com has fitting guide for the Oil Pressure Sender, basically underneath the alternator, but for the autometer ones, you need an adaptor, again this is detailed on Chiarks site
My Dealer did mention that he used a double adaptor of sorts, that allows the oil light (existing) and oil pressure to use the same location

Yep, you have to take the intercooler off, then get a torch or some other light, and shine down the back of the turbo nearest the engine. Youll see a quite large plug with an 8mm allen head in it, that's the one you need to remove.
The oil pressure sender goes in place of, or as well as, the oil pressure switch. You need to remove the cover to the alternator belt, and loosen the long bolt at top right of the alternator. Then remove the bolt holding the tensioner in place, you can see it well on Chiark's site. DON'T forget to use some paint or something to mark the TOP edge of the bolt where it passes through the tensioner, so that it can easily be replaced in the same position. Press the alternator down on the left, and ease off the belt.
You can then swing the alternator away to the right to give access to the o/p switch underneath.
Takes longer to describe than to do.
