Subaru gauges to fit Subaru pod

The gauges are standard 52mm jobbies by the look of it, so you'd have a choice of about 10 different makes from £30 each up to over £100 each if you buy new.
As for the back plate, try a visit to a good model sho, and ask to see their selection of Styrene sheet.
It comes in many thicknesses, up to about 100thou, is easily cut, and has a choice of black, grey (I think) and white. About £1 a sheet so why not make your own?

Im just working out my options just incase the PSI3 boys cant get the SECS unit working in my car... I want to put gauges in this pod....

Another suggestion:
Choose 45mm electr.gauges from 'Omori'(www.omorimeter.com) like I did.
They fit perfect in the original dashpod,en the looks are OEM-like.By night the lighting is realy superb.
Succes!
Greetings,
Arend.

Sorry for my late response.
I had my gauges installed by a dealer in the South of Holland. This man has all the Omori stuff needed, and also has a special sensor-ring(oil-pressure/temp.) in stock,to get everything fixed nicely. This ring can be placed between the oilfilter and the carter, and has two holes in the side to place the sensors. This is a perfect place to measure oiltemp anyway, and not effected by weatherconditions as some other places do.
He also has aluminium backplates with 3 holes in it,which fit perfect in the original dashpod. In my case he painted the aluminium black.
As said,he's got the meters, and all the other required goodies in stock,so deliverytime shouldn't be a problem.
When you give him a call I'm sure he can send you a Omori-set including all the required stuf, and the sensor-ring.Frank Vreede, the man I'm talking about is one of the 'leading men' in Dutch Subaruworld, and can deliver stuff for reasonable prices.
The Omori-meterset is really worthwile, and comes as close to the original gauges as you can get.The gauges(Electronicaly) are also one of the most presize and accurate on the market.
The ways to get in contact with Frank:
Aurobedrijf(CarCompagny)Vreede
Brabantweg 10
6591 HV Gennep(Holland)
Tel (+??)0485-511894
e-mail : Vreede@autofocus.nl
Succes anyway!
