Question

Any of you guys had one of these fitted to your MY01/02 ?
Do they even exist? --> You know, similar to the triple-gauge ones available for the Classics.......

No comments please about 'does your MY02 have enough boost to actually register?' etc etc

Nito took a picture of my defi's for me after fitting, pictures can be seen on the Defi web page here

I'm under Mr Dinger, not quite sure how they arived at Mr Dinger but never mind.

E-mail the pictures to Defi and they put them up on the site and send you a little Defi plaque/badge in the post

Chris,

If you are using Internet Explorer then Tools/options/colors allows you to define the colour that links are displayed as. Perhaps black has been selected.

In advanced there is an option to underline links.

Don't let the classic drivers wind you up too much, My PPP decated bugeye runs approx 1.2-1.3 bar on the Defi's which is more than enough

Question

Nick,

A quick question on the Subaru OEM gauge pod and gauges; Are they angled towards the driver, or are they facing straight out the back, so to speak?

Not sure if to go like you or get one of them digital types...
Thanks

Jules,
Yeah, they're angled towards the driver!! (The pic doesn't highlight that fact too well though! )

Anyone know what size the Lamco gauges are and whether 52mm ones will fit in the Subaru pod?

Think the Lamco gauges are 35mm and no bigger gauges won't fit in the Subaru pod!!

Thanks Nick.
I'll have to look elsewhere then. Currently considering SPA which will give 6 readouts for less cash although lacking the analogue advantage in the case of turbo boost. As far as I know only Defi make a suitable 52mm 3 gauge pod for the MY03 unless you know otherwise. I didn't really want the carbon fibre effect though.

The carbon fibre look put me off to be honest too.I wanted something that blended in nicely with the dash and although the defi's are probably better than the Subaru gauges I got what suited me!!
I'm not sure of any other pods that are non carbon look that will house the gauges.Worth havin a look on Grahame Goodes website though!!

Good luck

You can get a defi-pod for the my03 in normal material as well as carbon. I know because I don't like the carbon effect either, so I got an interior matching one instead for my sti7. Give Nitosport a ring cause that's where I got mine from

Thanks guys

Looks like I have a choice now. GGR have a pod that even takes your evicted clock but I'm not sure if it looks 'right'. Anyone got any photos of a GGR pod fitted in MY02/03? I do use my clock quite a bit, keeping it would be good on a car costing over £25k.

Dave

Have the original Lamco 3 gauge set for sale with all sensors and pod.
Was the subaru factory fit for a MY99 STI Type R, however I can supply it with the MY03 Pod cover if you wish. Complete kit
