I'm just checking out whether a certain digital read-out thingy will fit nicely in one of the centre gauge pods in my MY99 saloon.
The unit itself is basically single din size, and lives in one of the single din plastic sleeves as found under the radio in an MY01.
Is the Scoobymania or Subaru centre gauge pod big enough to accomodate this? The single din itself looks like it'll sit in the tray itself, as long as the pod is tall enough to take it...
Come on then you clever lot, let me know - Alternatively tell me the biggest gauge sizes they can accomodate and I'll do some measuring myself.
Pity they're so damn expensive!!!
Cheers,
Squizz.
PS - Like one of these:

The standard Subaru pod needs "modification" to take 52mm gauges but it can be done at a squeeze. Stef did this.
The pod below is scoobymania, which takes 52mm easily. Check with scoobymania for the maximum size, as they'll be able to give you an answer that is defensible, whereas my answer might be wrong

Thanks Chiark - I've looked at your site and the info on fitting pods/gauges too.
I've checked the DIN sleeve thing, and it looks like it'll fit no problem with a decent pod, and the Scoobymania one definitely looks best on size and colour/trim match. The only problem now, is the price!
