classic Impreza - redoing cloth on door panels
#1
Hey all,
How easy is it to remove the cloth panels on the doors and replace them? I have an MY98 Impreza wagon, with non-electric windows.
I tried pulling at the panel the other day, undid all the visible screws and the damn thing wouldn't budge.
Any ideas?

I just spent 2 hours pulling at my ones, and basicly the trick is take your time. Use a small screw driver gently work it behind the panel and lever it off. The only thing that holds em on is glue. from then on its easy: re-cover them and replace em.

Hi Casper - thanks for the advice mate.
One question - are your doors electric windows or the old winder-style? I don't have electrics (yes I know...).
I did a search for door cards and read up a little about them, but everything seems to be orientated to electric windows. Is there anything major I need to worry about with the non-electric doors?

Mornin mate,
I have the electric windows, so I cant coment on your manual ones. Altho if you have already been trying to remove them using the screws and that didnt work then they are probably attached the same way as mine........ With F***in strong glue.
