New steering wheel on airbag equipped car
#1
Sorry all if this is an old thread, but I'd really LOVE to fit a Momo red and black leather wheel to my MY'98 car.
Unfortunately, it already has a Momo, rather large, and with airbag.
My questions are: Am I allowed to remove an airbag wheel from an OE airbag equipped car?
How easy is it to do?
Cheers guys.

The prob might be with your insurance firm but its easy to do but im not to sure how to stop the light from coming on/staying on if you put a non airbag wheel on.

Solving the light problem is easy: take the bulb out! The airbag system will flash the light to indicate a fault, but it's a deliberate fault because you've removed the bag.
The only real issue is that of your insurance company, some might not bother about it others will ramp the premium. Best to check before buying the new wheel.
PS Thinking of selling the old Momo wheel and bag? Mine's got the even worse bus wheel!
