'ello all,

Are electrical gauges more accurate than mechanical gauges? If so, why are both still available? Given the option would they indeed be the best option for oil temp/pressure gauges?

Not sure on accuracy, but I went for electrical oil gauges due to not wanting oil coming into the back of the dash. Might never be a problem, but didn't want to take the risk. At least it all stays in the engine bay with the senders.....

Very good reason that. The other reason I can think of is that if you're linking in with the cars existing sensors you should at least know what the ECU thinks is happening.
