Default Does PPP count as a modification for purposes of insurance?

I'm pretty sure my PPP was fitted by dealer before the car was delivered.

Does this then count as a modification for purposes of insurance or an option?

Rich.

Yes, it is classed as a modification.

Insurer should have PPP as a model variant, though I have heard this isn't always the case.

Insurers normally have two options for a WRX or a STI. One option is the standard BHP output, the second the PPP output.

For example if you go on direct line or LV website and enter details for a WRX it gives you a 221 option (I think) or a 261 option. If you have a WRX PPP just enter the 261 option and it's done....

Wish I'd put the 261 option as an STI is cheaper to insure.

The PPP kit comes with a sticker for inside the driver door frame that includes an instruction to inform your insurer! Not all insurers are bothered by the upgrade though, I go through Greenlight and they're very forgiving of mods. Told them I'd swapped my VF35 @330bhp for a GT3071R @400bhp and they didn't change the premium
