Default Not a good deal from Keith Micheals

I'm so annoyed.

Just got my renewal from Keith Micheal's and its £630

Gone up!

Its a Type R. Mods being decat, Apexi ECU, Arc Airfilter. I do about 3000 miles a year (this year just gone just over a 1000), parked on private drive. Alarmed with Immobiliser. Full no claims.

Whats going on!

You would think customer loyalty would count for something.

It does, my renewal hasn't changed in 3 years - I had a fault claim against me.

Do you deal with Gary, or someone else?

As you may have seen on the news, or read in the newspapers, insurance prices are going up accross the board.

Sometimes we manage to get it cheaper, or the same as last year, but in general it does go up, mainly due to the huge amount being paid out in PI claims.

Even mine has gone up over the last few years, and i'm expecting it to go up more when i renew in August.

If your annual mileage has gone down then let us know, as it might mean we can get it cheaper for you. (we can't just guess you'll be doing less miles this year)

I thought females were going to pay more to equalise the gender gap..... EU law and all that.

You will have paid less for years so I guess you will have to "man up" as they say LOL

Just went back to the Meerkats, to get a fresh quote. Bear in mind that there isn't anywhere near the mods listed on there, that Gary has listed.

The cheapest one is about 3 times what I pay.

Jesus, Moley. You've let your family down, the Pope down, Lord Beaverbrook down and mostly you have let me down.

PS Thanks for my renewal, stayed the same!

Just to put the record straight it wasn't Moley who quoted me which is probably the issue here.

I have to use the person I spoke to but don't see why he cant quote a decent price.

Its not news though that we have to speak to Moley to get the best deals. I dont know why, I just do it. Just go with sky, even Moley would recommend that.

I had been trying to get Moley but it got to the day of my insurance running out so had to go with Fraser.

Pop your details over and i'll see if i can do anything, if you're willing to limit your miles there might be an option.

It won't be in the £400's though

Just as an aside I ran an Astra GTE at the OP's age (33) and later that year a Toyota MR2 in Manchester ...taking me back to 33 years of age that would be 1993

IIRC the Insurance for the Astra GTE (stolen 3 times) was £1,200 and when I swapped for the MR2 it dropped to £700.

My salary at that time was £10,134 ......

I'm insured with KM through Moley, and my premiums have reduced for 2 consecutive years, now paying £460 with a shed load of mods.
