Default Adrian Flux no longer insure Imprezas aparrently!

Just sold my S14 drift car and came back to Scooby ownership by buying myself another nice wagon, but this time a Bug Eye one.

Phoned my current insurer (Adrian Flux) to swap the insurance over.
After going through all the usual things with mods, security etc she came back after 10 minutes on hold to inform me that they no longer use any companys that will insure Imprezas or Evo's!

Im 32 with 8 years NCB and only 3 points.
All the cars ive owned have been modified or high performance.
Ive just sold the 300bhp S14 and also my 400bhp Skyline and im now driving the wagon and a 360bhp Sapphire Cosworth!!!

Has anybody else on here experienced any problems with Adrian Flux?

Ive already spoken to Gary at Kieth Micheals and ill be going with him by the looks of it because A-Plan cant touch his quote of £950 either.

Ive always used either Adrian Flux or A-Plan all the years ive been driving but now Adrian Flux has hust kicked me square in the ***** because i had to cancel my policy and lose 10 months NCB and pay them £11 on top!

My woman was insured with them last year on a classic wagon through Aviva, so it must be something new that they wont insure Imprezas or Evos because of them being "high risk" cars!

Gary (Keith Micheals) and Claire (A-plan) suited my needs this time round. Sky were a long way off the mark. Ive not bothered with any others apart from the obvious the obvious Supermarket comparison as im bored with the hassle, and to be honest Gary and Claire we very good and I knew it would take a lot of research to beat their quotes if beatable at all. Sky insurance was on my list to try and I spoke to a guy called Lee from A-Plan today but he said he couldn't get anywhere near the quote that Gary gave me so I think I'll just save my time and phone bill and go with Keith Michaels.

Each time I have rung and havent been able to get a hold of him, he has called me back, now thats a good service.

Lets not forget these guys spend most of their working time on the phone, so if there not on the phone to you they are likely on the phone to someone else thus the queue service most telephone sales companies have these days.

PM me if you want another number to ring for them, seems to work for me.

I'm with them at the moment and my scooby is on a public road. But they are a load of rubbish!! Had a woman crash into me and claim still going thru after months!! Plus gone from my old classic with 320 bhp to a bugeye with 290 bhp yet I had to pay an increase of £280 for modifications?! £80 extra as I have to carry an oxygen cylinder as a Coastguard Rescue tech ?!

they maybe good but they dont insure anybody under 25 same with a-plan and sky so i had to stick with flux as there quote was pretty much unbeatable but didnt really try that many others, next year hopefully when im 25 they will quote me happier if not it might be bye bye scooby as the insurance on them is taking the p*ss plus you can insure quicker cars these days for a lot less than a scoob it just seems to be getting worse not better i thought my second year of ownership it would come down but it stayed the same

Thanks for trying us and apologies we couldn't help, in some high risk areas this is a minimum requirement for us. It's a high risk car and vulnerable to vandalism and theft, this increases when there is no driveway or garage parking

I'll PM you, it sounds like a non fault claim so you are going through the third party's insurer. We can look into this and try and move the process on. With regards to the price increase, I'll need your details to look into that.

Thanks

This is a bit worrying because im half way into a policy with Adrian Flux which ive already paid in full and am thinking of changing to a hawkeye from my blobeye . I was paying £500 for a limited mileage policy of 5k per year . Dont know whats gonna happen if they aint insuring any more scoobies and i doubt they will refund me either if i change over to Sky or Keith Micheals like mentioned above !!!!
