Thought I would introduce myself officially, I have taken over as the Subaru specialist at A-Plan, Chris has move forward in the company and is no longer in Thatcham.

I hope I can continue to maintain the relationship with everyone on Scoobynet and if I can help anyone with their insurance needs please don't hesitate to give me a call.

Hi Clare - Welcome to Scoobynet - surprised no one has asked what car you drive? That would have been my second question

My insurance is due 1st December (with A-plan at present) and have spoken to Rob in your renewals department this evening and waiting for price back, but what sort of deals are you going to be offering? Should I wait/speak to yourself etc?

Hi Clare, do you have any more sway than the normal folks at A-plan. My insurance renewal with you way £200 more than last years, which was £190 more than the year before. I have spoken to thatcham and the best you can do is still £100 more than the cheapest with a huge excess. Any help? PM me.

Spoke to Clare at A-plan today and she has, to be fair, made a real effort and matched Moley's quote like for like - price xcess and so on and has even negotiated with the underwriters to cover future engine rebuild and the extra power that goes with it at no extra cost - very impressed with the effort and final result.

Didn't think anyone would match Moley's deal but there you go.

A little awkward as I now have two great quotes from two people who have made a real effort but better than bad quotes and no effort I suppose.

no one will quote me a decent price, i owned 7 scoobies in the past,supras aswel,but now prices have gone threw the roof,iam looking at getting another subaru in the new year,ive mainly had imports but i no the later uk turbo 2000 model are cheaper to insure right?would rather get an import,even may have to consider a sport which i dont fancy to be honest

iam 25 2 years no claims with one sp30 3 points

I know this is slightly off topic but I spoke to Chris today and the man is a legend ..

He worked on my quote and got it down to the same as the best one I could find and I get to stay with Aplan .. who to be honest are easily the best insurance / car related company I've have the pleasure of dealing with.

I hope to be with them for many years to come ..
