Default NCB from different vehicles during same year

Could someone advise if it is possible to accrue 2 or more years worth of NCBs within 1 year by being insured on separate vehicles during the same year.

i.e. if I insure myself on my Impreza with one company and on a run around astravan which i use for taking the dogs places with either a different company or same company as impreza but on a separate policy? Could I then show I have 2 years NCBs next year on a policy?

Or is it simply a case you can only accrue 1 years NCB within that year period?

Basically what I'd like to do is be insured on the scoob and a van (possibly my g/f's 307) on separate policies and the following year just the scoob using all 2/3 accrued NCB certificates on a single policy.

It's not as if I'm scamming things, I'm going to be doing 10-15k miles on all policies, so I feel like I should be duly rewarded by being allowed to use every NCB on my following years policy.

Any ideas, thoughts, experienced?

I've been car-less for past 4.5 years as I got regular hire cars through work, therefore ive lost my previous NCB's and obviously not earned any for driving hire cars mostly over last few years.
