Bd postcode (Bradford) joke!!!!
The Bd postcode (Bradford) must be one of the worst areas in Britain to get insured on a scooby.
I am 32 living on the outskirts of Bradford in a nice village.
9years ncb
no points and no claims
2006 wrx standard...850 fully comp and I have shopped around alot to get that price.
Is Bradford the worst area in Britain to insure a scooby.

Moley, which area
in Bradford ain't too bad? I've lived all around this area for years and yet to get a decent quote for insurance.
9 years no claims, limited mileage to 3k a year, advanced driving etc, chauffeur for a living with private use on my own company car, use of around 150 other cars ( all prestige marks like astons, jags, porsches etc ), scooby is looked in a secure compound with these other cars when not in use which also has 24hr security.
Insurance has just gone up from 750 to 1100 on a 2002 WRX.
Also - if you wanna do me a quote, then please do.
Chris.

Hi Chavadurkin,
We also tend to struggle to source quotations from Insurers for policies within the Bradford (BD) postcode areas.
But, having had a look at some rating structures it seems as though BD20, 22, 23 and 24 are the lowest rated of the Bradford areas.
There are quite a few postcodes within the area that score well with Experian demographically (ie. prosperity, aspirational, types of residents). But when you overlay these postcodes with the actual risk based postcodes (based upon claims received) they seem to suffer from being subject to crime (presumably from other nearby areas) or from personal injury claims involving accidents in nearby areas.
Each respective Insurer will largely base their terms upon the actual historic cost from claims they have had to pay within each specific area.
One of the biggest costs to Insurers these days is injury based claims and unfortunately Bradford had topped the charts for several years as being one of the cash for crash capitals of the country, with over 4/10 accidents having an injury attached. Which is way higher than the national average.
In the same way as Moley (Keith Michaels) had identified, we have also noticed a shift in terms of uninsured drivers, fraud, a dramatic increase in theft and a hike in the percentage of personal injury claims received from Birmingham postcodes. Which has now overtaken Bradford in respect of most of the factors listed.
Kind regards
Tony
