Default Insurance for myself, 20year old

Hi there,

As you can tell im a first timer here
Ive always loved scoobies ever since i started playing the gran trismo games on PS1. This year I planned on buying either a Impreza sport or a Impreza turbo 4WD, but when it came to looking for insurance, i was just like .

Can anyone recommend any insurance companys (if any)? i tryed using some of the compare sites but all i got was quotes for 18k for the impreza turbo and 5k odd for the impreza sport, bearing in mind im 20 with no no claims .

Any help would be appreciated

Youd be lucky dude, 20 is a young age especially with 0 NCB. Try putting your parents on as named drivers.

Im 21 and with both my parents as named drivers. 3 points for using a phone and 3 years no claims the cheapest i could find for my sti hawk was 2800!!!!!

If only i hadnt got the 3 points it was going to be 1700

I wanted a 911 when I was 20, unless you can get your parents to insure it and then even as a named driver your only covered 3rd party.
Insurance is a joke at the moment, if you are a member if a motor club some insurance companies offer discount, but probably not enough.
Good luck anyway.

Ta for the feed back, yeah i kind of gathered insurance was gonna be a pain when i first started searching . As ive been a named driver on my mums fiesta with direct line, i tryed to get a quote from them as i would of had the 3 years no claims if i used them aswell, turns out it still costs a firetruck load, or none at all .

But yeah, i guess i could try and get the parents to be named drivers, ill have to get some quotes see what they're like, but first ill need to use my awesome persuasion skills to them to to first

Well you can try the ScoobyNet insurers but I doubt they'd touch you since you're so young.

You can get a sport pretty cheap. I had my sport when I was 20 and paid less than a grand for insurance. I know it's more expensive now though.

Funnily enough i have just been looking at them, the brothers recently got himself a VW t4, he has no no claims and they quoted him for £900 quid which seems pretty cheap. Thanks for the number ill give them a call.
