Default Probably a dream..

Hey Fellas,

I'm 19, just bought myself an '06 R-Sport, trying to get insurance on it.. is a little tough to say the least. I'm 20 in 3 months.. and that's when the quotes start getting sane. I could just wait till then.. but it's sitting on my drive.. with me.. not being able to drive it

Anyone got any tips for me? I've tried a couple of places.. A-Plan said they'd put me through to a specialist department but the line went dead.. and I was at work so couldn't ring them back.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm dyin here!

Try Keith Michaelsspeak to Gary Moulson, a plan again! And sky insurance.

All if the above probably your best bet. Also aviva!

Cheers mate, I'll try them tomorrow, shame none of them are 24 hours eh?

Just done comparisons on Go Compare and Money Supermarket, 4.5k is the cheapest.. jeez.

Phoned a number of insurers today.. including A-Plan (They said they can't do it because I'm 19.. most insurers don't do it until 25) KM (Flat out no) and Sky gave me a flat out no too.

I'm at a loss. Insanity, what do they think I'm gonna do, wrap it round a tree? Damn boy racers ruining for the rest of us who buy the cars out of appreciation for them.

Bit pissed off I have to wait but oh well, when I'm 20 Admiral look like the one to go for.

unfortunatly its not just "boy racers" its all the personal injury claims that are going through the roof and the fact you are only 19. can i ask how many years ncb you have???
insurance in general have gone up this year, you have only got to look through all the posts of people having policy increases and having to sell up or bite the bullet and pay because its the type of car we wish to own.
i am 36 and have 10 yrs no claims and i pay £1200 for the same car you have brought (with a couple of mods added to the policy of course )
