Does anyone have any details on insuring an Evo 2, a friend of mine is being quoted £1600 (male in late 30s, SK1 postcode). Car standard except for SS exhaust.

Sillysi,

I had an Evo II GSR last year, was 27 with full NCB and paid around £1200 with Privilege, so that seems very steep. I too had many ridiculous quotes of £1500-2000 while I was ringing around. I've now got an Evo V GSR and pay even less than I did for the II with Randall Pace. I recommend giving Jeremy (who sometimes visits this BBS) or Scott a call on 01782 286311. They do very good deals on Evo's and are mod friendly so the exhaust shouldn't be a problem. Tell them Shaun with the recent Evo V recommended them to you.

Good luck

Shaun

CTJ, Yes they are imports. To be honest there isn't a lot in it when I compare the II to the V I have now so, they are very good VFM IMHO. Sold mine last July with around 45k miles IIRC ('94) for £7k, standard.
