Default My Insurance Costs, what about you?

This might be a complete waste of time, but I was hoping to get some ideas of what people are paying for their car insurance.

So i have made up a basic list of questions to be asked, and thought some members might feel like sharing their information to help other seek better insurance prices and cover etc.

Copy and paste the below and fill out the relevent questions please. Im aware there is a lot more that goes into a Inurance quote, but ive tried to make it as non-personal as possible.

You might want to put first part of postcode instead/aswell as area, as that is one of the biggest rating factors.

I know you must think this is expensive mate but look on the bright side, ive nearly finished my 1998 wrx project and cant even drive it when its done as they want £3800 for my insurance!!!!!!!!

I'd cough that up any day lol

I am 22 though and have 3 accidents on record and only 1 years ncb and to top it all off live in Kent just by the A2 which apparantly puts it up alot.

Any tips people??

3 "Declared" Crashes, and you think its your postcode thats bumped it up alot

As above, buy a smaller banger, driver more careful, and stop claiming on insurance for a little while.

I wounder why my premiums are still high

As above, once you have a 3rd accident (fault or non-fault) lots of companies will stop quoting, that's what is putting the price up

The BB postcode unfortunately.

It's probably fine where you are (low thefts etc) but the insurers will be worried about you travelling into surrounding areas an having accident.... you are close to areas with BIG personal injury problems.

Still seems heavy to say I never use it. Have a Works Van, doesn't move all week. All these no Claims Bouns etc. I know the Post Code isn't great but I block the car with the van on the drive. Cat 1 Alarm & Immob with 24hr Tracker. Can't do any more can we! If It ever goes more than £900 am selling it. Not paying that and driving a Van all week!

I had one of those typical insurance tutor phone calls the other day asking if they could have 10 mins to offer the best quote, giving them the benifit of the doubt I said ok, they said (after 30mins) that they would push the quote to someone else to offer me the best deal 'Swinton'. They quoted me £1600..... with £400 excess. I told them that I have been quoted £600 with £500 excess....... they said to me, and I quote ""yes but our excess is lower"" hahahahaha. Phone went down.

SWINTON seems to be a bit of a joke. Try the specialist boys on here fella.
