Default Gary @ Keith Michaels - 1st June

Just to make you aware i will be out the office on Tuesday 1st June.

Normally wouldn't bother posting this up, but i know most people try to ring at the beginning of the week for some reason, and due to staff shortages at the moment you might find it hard getting through on that day.... so please don't leave anything untill the last minute if you want it done for the 1st.

Thanks

Gary

Hi Gary, sent you a PM, and left you a voice mail a week or two ago now. Any chance of a ring back - as you always seem to be on the phone when I ring? Cheers

Over the last week or so I've phoned and left messages, emailed Gary, KM in general, their sales office manager and even the general office manager and not had the courtesy of even a response

He needn't bother picking the phone up - went and took cover elsewhere. Obviously didn't want the business and all the recommendations that go with it.

it's a funny one dealing with Keith Michaels, like yourself i had a bit of a problem getting through to someone, whereas A-Plan and Sky Insurance was a 5 minute phone call and a qoute within seconds.

i'm an existing customer of Keith Michaels and have renewed this year, but i nearly didn't bother after the 3rd call resulted listening to some music for a few mins then going to answerphone, not good.

obviously they can't be available all the time for everyone, but it doesn't exactly fill you with confidence if you need their help in result of a claim

If you have a claim you'll speak to our claim department. Any of 25+ people will be able to deal with you then.

For new quotes/renewals etc it is me you need to speak to.

Other companies have several staff dealing with their quotes, whereas i deal with them myself at Keith Michaels. You can speak to any other member of staff if you don't want to wait, but you might not speak to someone who specialises in modified/performance cars.

well it seems you need to employ another member of staff that can help you out as you seem to be losing a hell of a lot of business due to the fact you never pick the phone up, return calls or emails etc etc.

i tried several times and gave up and went elsewhere and it seems im not the only one from the comments above. not really the way to run a business.

Really?

What do you think i do from 9 untill 6 every day?

I don't take a lunch break as i am so busy, and still go into work when signed off ill. I work my **** off trying to help people.

And i still get comments like that made. Thanks very much.

FWIW most people do manage to get hold of me, all be it that it may take a couple of phone calls.

We insure lots of differnet cars, and it is a lot easier for me to make money by insuring an Aston for £2k than it is to do 4 Subaru policies for £500.

However, i used to enjoy doing Subaru policies, and helping fellow owners get cheaper prices.

i didn't mean to sound like i was having a pop Gary, it's just an odd situation to be put in as a customer.

i've dealt with Jeremy at your place for 2 years now and it's been fine, just not as easy as with the other companies mentioned.

personally i couldn't give a **** who i go with and i'm sure i fit into the normal band of people who, if they can't get through to someone to take their money, they'll take it elsewhere.

it's not a dig, but i had 3 qoutes within £5 of each other, 2 firms i could speak to within 30 secs to take out a policy and yourselves who i was waiting on to return a call. i had to go out on a job for a couple of hours and when i got back i took a call from Jeremy and renewed.

if i had been sitting around with time to kill i would have gone elsewhere.

like i say it's not slagging you off it's just a consumers point of view and i'm sure you'd prefer feedback you can act upon

Of course, and it is appreciated.

TBH we are under-staffed at the moment, we have recently taken on a new guy but it takes a while to train them up.

I'm not complaining, as I know how busy Gary can be. I was simply posting somewhere else to grab his attention for call back

Not the best company promo Ive ever heard.

But then, I am the worlds biggest cynic, its what everything comes down to...money, money, money.

Aston vs a scooby is a no brainer when calling potential customers back.

I was trying to make the point that insuring Astons would be easier, but i choose NOT to do that, and concentrate on the Subaru's.

apologies if i came over a bit strong, but there is nothing more infuriating than trying to get an insurance quote from somewhere that supposedly specialises in that type of car, and advertises the fact on forums associated with the car and then you cant get anywhere with it when you try to give someone your hard earned money.

iwas trying to point out that perhaps it would be a good idea if your company employed someone else to help you a it seems you are particularly busy in your area, or perhaps move someone from a less busy area to help.

Im like most people, if i dont get an answer from a business that im trying to give money to i'll go elsewhere and give it to them, as i havnt got the time or patience to either wait for a call back or keep ringing after someone who appears to be very elusive.

I have certainkly made some suggestions, but will have to see what happens.

I know we are apparently taking on new staff, but have not been told when.

In the mean time i do apologise to anyone who can't get through, and i do certainly try my best to get back to people.

Is it worth me contacting you for a quote.I have only had my 07 WRX SL for 6 weeks and is the first performace car I have had.I think I read soemwhere you may only insure someone who has had this type of car for at least a year.A quick overview.I'm 53 years old,5 years NCB. One claim in last 5 years. No convictions/penalties.
