Default SKY INSURANCE & SCOOBYNET

Sky Insurance and Scoobynet
Hi Scoobynet members,

You should hopefully be familiar with Sky Insurance through our involvement in the Japanese Import/Modified car scene, we are big players in this field as we are affiliated with many UK based owners clubs, we advertise in leading magazines and we sponsor and trade at major events. If you were not aware of us, you are now!

Check out our website www.skyinsurance.co.uk and feel free to ask if you have any questions, by Private Message or email ollief@skyinsurance.co.uk

Some of those who are aware of Sky Insurance may also be aware that we historically had restrictions in place for all variants of Imprezas. After negotiation with our specialist underwriters we are pleased that some of these restrictions have now been lifted and as long as you are a Scoobynet member who meets our criteria, we should be very competitive for insurance quotes.

We’d like to make it clear from the outset that we will not be able to insure every member out there, we are going to pick our customers very carefully and we will only be insuring Imprezas for Scoobynet members.

We have the following criteria for Imprezas:

Over 25s only
Very minimum of 3 Years NCB
Customer must have at least 1 years ownership of current car or similar vehicle

If you looking to insure any other vehicles our minimum criteria is aged 19 or over with a full 2 years driving experience. We can insure anything from standard Nissan Micras all the way up to 800BHP+ Toyota Supras.

Here is some additional information about what we can offer and how to get in contact with us. Before you read all this please bare in mind that if you have any specific queries you are welcome to drop me a private message.

Sky Insurance's target market is the car enthusiast, specialising in policies for members of car clubs such as this one. We believe that anyone who puts the time and effort into looking after and modifying their ‘pride and joy’ is a lower risk than your average boy racer.

Quotes;
To obtain a competitive quote all you need to do is give Sky Insurance a call on;
08701 121 759 or 02083645500
or visit our website site or email Ollie Frost (the car club liaison manager) requesting a callback using the information below;
http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk or ollief@skyinsurance.co.uk

Please state that you are a member of Scoobynet when you phone through.

We are very much an enthusiast company, we have a few genuine performance car fans working here, myself included. We offer the following:

20% Discount for club members

Like for like cover for modifications

Enthusiast company who specialise in insurance for car club members and modified vehicles

Car club member competitions & incentives

Personalised service, no call centres

Company branded car which we take to shows and meets

Just one thing, we would always need to speak to you on the phone to go through a quote, we cannot provide a quote via email or PM. Feel free to send me your contact details if you would like a call back at a convenient time,

Many thanks
Ollie

I was insured with SKY on my Civic Type R and when i wanted to swop the policy to the Impreza it sky rocketed!But i ve now rang up and got a much better deal,thank god you finally got a scheme going for the Impreza owners
I recomend them highly for modified cars as they were good with the Civic and are now pretty competetive on the Scooby

Spoke to Sky today and they were by far the cheapest.... over £300 cheaper than my renewal. Highly recommended.

Ollie; I have a modified car policy with yourselves for another car that isnt an Impreza, I've just bought a Bugeye WRX and when I phoned up to change over the policy they told me the under-writers wouldn't cover Impreza's so I assumed it was the specific under-writer for my current policy so I bit the bullet and started ANOTHER policy, I've just received my documents and its underwritten by the same company?

At first they told me they dont cover Impreza's full stop but I mentioned your posts on here and your colleague said if I'm a member and I've owned Impreza's before they can cover me but I still wasnt offered the chance to change over my current policy even though the under-writer is the same?

***Cleared up by Ollie @ Sky.. I was sent the wrong policy summary by mistake

Hi,

out of all the cars we insure (Intergras, Mr2s, Evos, Supras etc etc) The Impreza is our highest risk car. The price you pay is indicative of the high risk nature of the car. Having said that, we are now very competitive on Imprezas so the price shouldn't be high. I'll PM you.

^ We are nothing to do with Sky TV. You get a discount for being a Scoobynet member, can't say fairer than that!

Thanks for trying us, we would not be able to go under the rate you have had using the same underwriter unfortunately.

I tried you guys last month. Heard loads of people saying your really good. You did seem very pro over the phone but you don't Insure my Post Code. Shame that, had to stick with A Flux again. £700.

Ah well, May be next year

just be careful with these guys, i had massive problems with them, they quoted me 1 price, so i paid a deposit, set up a direct debit, and a month later they told me i cant have the insurance at the price they gave, and wanted another £300 more......jokes

Thanks for the feedback but there would be a reason behind this and if any additional premim is due it would be the underwriter of the policy calling the shots. Hard for me to comment without your details but this situation is incredibly rare.
