Default Scooby insurance....Help!

Im 27 with 5 years no claims and no points. Own a 03 wrx and getting quoted £1100 fully comp! Ive been told my postcode is a safe area so why such a high premium? I done a search on confused.com and that was the cheapest it brought up.

Any ideas who else i could try guys?

Ruislip is a HA postcode who told you it was safe area?

a safe area maybe but certainly not a low rated insurance postcode at its in London that is why the prices are so high

Get married, have kids, build a garage, and that should cut about 300 quid a year off your insurance

The usual suspects, Greenlight, A-plan and Keith Micheals. Also try admiral as they can do mods on-line.

I had an issue a couple of years back when I lived near Peterborough. My postcode was a low risk area for theft, vandalism etc, but access to where I lived was across the A1 and this was a high risk accident area so my insurance reflected that. When I moved down to Bushey there wasn't any increase to talk of given I moved from the country into the London area.

I used to live in ol9 postcode, and when i moved it cut the premium by more than 50%.

As others have said try Rob Suter at A plan. He has done a lot of business with my family and friends, and always tries his best.

Hope this helps

You do know that is invalidating your insurance dont you? you have to declare that the car is kept at the address indicated, i could give buckingham palace as the postcode and really park the car in moss side, i doubt they would pay any money out as you have stated a falsehood on a legal document (fraud).

I was recently ringing around to see what the prices would be like.

Was quite shocked when they wanted £400+ more than i pay now on a M3 cab
