Hi all, during the recent fireworks, I woke up with a loud bang....went to check it as my car alarm went off......someone had thrown a rocket and the stick fell right in my bonnet.....denting the bonnet.
Called the police.....Fu*&%^^%$% so and sos.....didnt even want to know about it as to them it was an accident.....so I told them "what if that fell on someones head, what it did to my bonnet, could easily kill someone."
Still....they said they could not do anything....
My question is.....should I report it to the insurance or fix it myself without going through the insurance?

Heya mate,

I had a small claim awhile ago and my insurance company advised me to get an estimate done..

The amount was just below my policy excess so I fixed the damage myself.

I would get an estimate and see how much the repairs are. I have no idea how much a claim will affect your insurance though...your best of asking your insurance company.

If the paint isn't marked and the dent light a good dentman should be able to get it out for much less than your excess. Would give a few a call.
