Default Track Day Insurance - moris.co.uk

Just found a good deal for some track insurance - moris.co.uk was £38 for a single day on Rockingham Internation circuit. Much cheaper than others with same cover.

My car - 03 WRX PPP worth £6.5K. Never been on a track day or owned a performance car before so several companies I spoke to wouldn't touch me.

Bring on the 19th Oct!

Excess is £750 - should go down if it isn't your first track day though (or i'm sure if you've owned the car for longer than a couple of weeks like me!).

Not planning to claim unless the car is totally trashed!

The prices seem very good.

Does anyone know if they pay book price for a standard car, or take mods into account if the worse was to happen?

The small print had quite a bit about being able to prove the worth and condition of the car and recommended taking photos at the track just before to prove it's in good condition. I suspect at that price they would fish for every possibility to reduce the payout! However, I've just bought the car from a stealer so have the receipt etc for proving the worth, only have PPP as a mod at the moment and will take many photos beforehand!

As I said before, as this is my first one it was hard to get insurance at all, let alone a price to make it worth it!

How does that compare to what you've paid before? I assume the Spec C is worth quite a bit more than my car!

Small print says 'standard parts unless specifically agreed'.

Also says that you cannot choose the repairer, they choose.

Their quote engine won't tell me the xs, unless I hit 'proceed'...
