I'll be picking up my new car in a few weeks. Dealer has offered CAP insurance (had it on my last car) but I've heard you can get it cheaper yourself rather than buying it through the dealer.

My question(s) are

1) Do you need to take out the GAP insurance before you collect your car, or can you do it after?

I'll need the Chassis number etc, wouldn't I?

2) Who does the best GAP insurance deals?
