My original insurance company Privilege car insurance wanted £1150 for renewel (I paid like £960 last year)and after being with them for 2 years I thought I will make a few calls and shop around.

Came across this section on the forum and I made a call to A-Plan for a quick quote.

I am a 34 years old with 7 years NCB, 1 non fault claim and 1 speeding (SP 50)conviction last year. The car is a 2006 56 plate STI.

The quote from A-Plan I got was £689 fully comp with NCB protection, legal protection with a £400 excess.

A mass saving of £460 from A-Plan, what an excellent deal.

I made enough savings to pay for the new £400 road tax.
