Insurance Subaru Impreza insurance can be expensive, as with any performance car insurance. But the cheapest car insurance isn't always the best. Share your quotes, and experiences.

Default Flummoxed by Adrian Flux..

I paid £475 to cover my Skyline which I was very happy with.

I swapped the Skyline for a Toyota Altezza and paid £525 - not entirely happy seeing as the Tezza is hardly in the same class and considerably less powerful.

Now I have swapped the Tezza for a Subaru, I phone Adrian Flux and they say 'That'll be £828 please..'

I say, 'Sorry, could you repeat that?'

'£828'

A quick search on confused.com gave me quotes around the £450 mark so I am very disappointed with Adrian Flux.

Not least because I now have to cancel my 3 week old £525 policy and get a refund of £260!!

Thus endeth my relationship with those cowboys!!

Rant over.

I had a similar thing, seems probably due to a lot of them having been binned, nicked, involved with the police that scoobs are high with a lot of insurers. I'm 22 and got cheaper quotes on everything, Skylines the lot than i did for my 04 blob, often by quite large margins as well.

The only things that seemed worse were evo's, but i wasn't interested in one of those anyway

Had the self same thing with Adrian Flux. Been insured with them for approx 5 years over various cars, my last being a seat LCR225 valued at £11k for approx £600 a year. Bought a scruffy uk turbo and tried transfering the policy and they wanted £1300 per year!!
Ive since done a money supermarket quote and RAC come up with £350 if you already have breakdown cover with them, Happy days!
The call centre is much better than Flux and they dont charge you for changes to your policy like reg transfers and address changes like flux do.

Cheers Steve
