Default Insurance co's that don't require a Tracker?

Hi,

I pick up my 1st Scooby next week ('05 WRX with PPP) and I'm trying to sort some insurance. At the moment the car just has the factory standard immobiliser. I've tried a few online quotes (Direct Line, Privilage and Norwich Union), they all came back with good quotes (sub £360 fully comp) BUT they all require a Tracker. I went over budget to get this car as it's perfect so I don't really want the expense of fitting a tracker just yet.

Can anyone recommend a company that doesn't require one?

Cheers

Mike.

You gotta love admiral, how old are you if you don't mind me asking ? I'm 27, and when i had a quote with admiral which was good, i then added my mum as a second driver and the quote went down £200 which was a nice surprise.

BooSH... I'm an old ****** at 37, which helps on Insurance. Didn't go with Admiral in the end, the quote they gave me was for an STi but mine's a standard WRX with PPP. I tried explaining the difference to the guy there, but he had no idea and went to see his supervisor who said "Oh, if it's been modified we won't insure it"! I tried explaining that it was a Subaru supported mod but I was rapidly losing the will to live by this point. Luckily Gary Moulson at Keith Michael's came to the rescue.
