Default Looking to insure a Forester T/tb

Need something a bit bigger than my Impreza so on the look out for a Forester T/tb.

Problem is my current insurer on the Impreza (Zurich) wont cover an Import(or so they say!), Impreza now is a UK Turbo.

Still got two months left on current policy so if I moved would I lose a years no claims??

Would I need a cat 1 alarm fitted to get cover with Keith Michaels etc as one I've looked at only had a cat 2 immobiliser, it wouldn't be a problem having one fitted but it would take a day or two after purchase to sort.

Can anyone help...please??

It 'might' be ok with a Cat 2, depending on value, postcode and where it is kept overnight, would have to check when doing the quote
